Happy Summer:
Well did everyone survive Shop Hop? We can now say that we have one under our belt and what a wonderful experience is was. We met so many new people that hadn’t been to our little shop before and many were impressed with our selection and prices. We still have some Shop Hop material on the bolt left and from what I hear, what is in the shops is about all that is left. We still have kits available for $4.00 each if you weren’t able to make it to the shop. (That includes postage and sales tax)
I want to THANK all of the wonderful people of the Covington Quilt Guild (plus a few friends) that came to the rescue and volunteered their services so our Shop Hop could run as smoothly as it did. We had 1484 people come through our doors in 5 days! And that was without any tour busses!
Now that Shop Hop is behind us, we can progress with the rest of our summer! We are going to be closed Saturday, the 4th of July. We will be open again on Sunday at our regular time 10—4.

Laura Denison’s Passport Series: These are great classes for techniques and a wide variety of styles to fit into any genera. Sign up for one or several. $35.00 per class, held during the summer 10 - 2 on the following dates:
July 12th – Gaucho Poncho Quilt from Buenos Aires, Argentina
August 30th – Return Voyage…If you have started a Pass Port Quilt and need time to finish it, have questions or want start one of the previously released patterns, this is a great time to get some of those UFO’s finished. Patterns are additional.
Remember there is a 10% merchandise discount on materials purchased for the classes.
“Magic Stack ‘N’ Whack” taught by Darlene Girton – Using the techniques of Bethany Reynolds’s “Magic Stack ‘N’ Whack”, Darlene will be teaching you how to make these great kaleidoscope designs. With using fabric that has a minimum of a 12” repeat, you never know how they will turn out and no 2 are alike. July 18th,10 – 1. $35.00 plus book and additional tools as needed.
Rag Quilt Class Just For Teens: Is your Teen board with Summer? Does your Teen want to quilt but just doesn’t know where to start? Our Teen Quilting Superstar—Matt Quigley will be able to help them through their 1st Rag Quilt. They will learn the basics of selecting the right fabric, cutting tool safety, using rulers, cutting fabric, basic stitches for putting the quilt together and finishing their quilt. Saturday August 8th, 10—4 $35.00 plus fabric. Sign up for the class and receive a 10% merchandise discount on materials and supplies.
**Currently Full** Nancy Lee Chong – Known for her Hawaiian Quilting and 2 Fabric Appliqué is tentatively set for October 4th from 10—4:30 p.m. This is a wonderful 1 day Hawaiian Quilting class. Class size is limited to 10 students. $95.00 plus materials and supplies. If you haven’t sent in your fee, do so now so we have a confirmed total of students. We are taking names for a waiting list if there are any cancellations.
