Known for her Hawaiian Quilting and 2 Fabric Appliqué is set for October 4th from 10—4:30 p.m. This is a wonderful 1 day Hawaiian Quilting class. Class size is limited to 10 students. $95.00 plus materials and supplies. We are taking names for a waiting list for the next class.
Darlene Girton’s “Machine Quilting for Beyond Beginners” –
This class is the next installment of Darlene’s quilting techniques. That's right ladies, install your darning foot, drop those feed dogs and see what you and your sewing machine can do. Building from the techniques of the Beginning Class, where the introduction to free motion quilting was started, this class will continue to build your confidence and expand your capabilities. Bring a finished top (lap size or smaller) so you can design your own quilting format. “Let the quilt speak to you”. A fun time to be had by all! This will be held October 10th, 10 – 2. $40.00 plus class book. Other materials will be provided. This class will be repeated again January 30th.
Matt’s Rag Quilt Class Just For Teens (Or just Teens at Heart):
Does your Teen want to quilt but just doesn’t know where to start. Our Teen Quilting Superstar—Matt Quigley will be able to help them through their 1st Rag Quilt. They will learn the basics of selecting the right fabric, cutting tool safety, using rulers, cutting fabric, basic stitches for putting the quilt together and finishing their quilt. Matt's class is a 6 hour session and he is setting up times for private lessons, so you can set the day that works for you. $45.00 plus fabric. And if you are not a Teen, you are welcome too!

Using the techniques of Bethany Reynolds’s “Magic Stack ‘N’ Whack”, Darlene will be teaching you how to make these great kaleidoscope designs. With using fabric that has a minimum of a 12” repeat, you never know how they will turn out and no 2 are alike. October 17th, 10 – 1. $35.00 plus book and additional tools as needed.
Delectable Mountains With Dawn Shirron -
Learn how easy this beautiful quilt can be with using the methods of Eleanor Burns. Dawn will teach you the steps to make this luscious quilt. October 11th and 25th are the dates for this 2 part class. $40.00 plus book and tool additional.
Yellow Brick Road with Dawn Shirron—
This quilt is perfect for beginners and no two look alike. With a couple of easy blocks to construct, it is easy to make this quilt in any size. November 6th (Friday) 6—9 in the evening.

Sew Exciting Seminar—Linda Simmons will be joining us again for another Sew Exciting Seminar. This time she will be here to share information with Sulky’s new Stabilizer Seminar. There are 2 sessions available—10:00—12:30 or 2:00—4:30 on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Sessions are $25.00 each. We can accommodate 20 people per session. The last sessions fill up FAST!
CRAZY QUILTING BLOCK:
Have you ever wondered how all of those CRAZY blocks come together? Crazy Quilting is considered one of the earliest forms of REAL American quilting. Come and learn the fundamentals of block construction and embellishment. Your finished block can then be used in a bag, pillow or the start of a great quilt. Taught by Jenni Christensen of the Covington Quilt Guild. $35.00 Saturday, November 21st, 10—2.

Laura Denison has made original patterns to make these fun and easy quilted bags, totes, purses and pouches. These bags are simple to piece and you can’t seem to make just one! Darlene Girton’s “Machine Quilting for Beginners” –
You too can machine quilt! That's right ladies, install your darning foot, drop those feed dogs and see what you and your sewing machine can do. We will cover the basics of starting and stopping stitch lines, gain confidence in stitch-in-the-ditch quilting with a walking foot, and an introduction to free motion quilting. A fun time to be had by all! This 2 part class will be held January 9th and 16th, 10-2. $50.00. Book required for class. Other materials will be provided.
And coming for 3 days in 2010... Roxanne Carter will be joining our list of teachers. She will be teaching 3 - 6 hour sessions on January 23rd, June 5th and October 1st. More details will be available in the November newsletter.
