Monday’s ($10):

• March 16th, 2009 – 6 – 9

Thursday’s ($15):
• March 5th, 2009 – 10 – 2
• March 12th, 2009 – 10 – 2
• March 19th, 2009 – 10 – 2
• March 26th, 2009 – 10 – 2

And if a structured classes is more up your alley then:

Hand Quilting: This long awaited class is being taught by Yvonne Cottell. Many of you may know her from Evergreen Piecemakers. For her, “HAND” is not a 4 letter word and you will learn the techniques to become a confident Hand Quilter in this 2 session class. This class will be held March 7th and 14th, Noon—3, $35.00

Laura Denison’s Passport Series: These are great classes for techniques and a wide variety of styles to fit into any genera. Sign up for one or several. $35.00 per class, held Noon – 4 on the following dates:

• March 22nd, 2009 – Spice Market quilt from Marrakech, Morocco
• April 19th, 2009 – Canadian Goose Chase quilt from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Raw Edge Appliqué: Laura Denison has made original patterns to make these fun and easy Raw Edge Appliqués. The series is called “Northwest Passage” and they are truly wonderful. Have a pattern at home you would like to use? Bring that too! These wall hangings are simple to make and you can’t seem to make just one! Class to be held Saturday, April 4th, 11—4. Patterns and materials additional. $45.00

Joyce Becker’s Mini Landscape Collages: This project you will be able to finish in a day. Joyce Becker will be joining us again for another one of her wonderful landscape techniques in Miniature!. If you wanted to learn how to landscape or take a refresher, this project will be finished in this one session class. Class will be held on Saturday, April 25th, Time: 10—4, $80.00

Terri Nussbaum’s Storm At Sea: See the waves in this quilt look like curves, but it is straight line piecing. With the help of a couple of tools (The Pam Bono Angler and The Tri-Rec Tool) Terri will help you create a master illusion. This 3 part class is tentatively set for sometime in April. Date to be determined soon…we know it will be mid-week and in the evenings from 6 – 9. $45.00 for the 3 session. Tools additional.

Darlene Girton’s “Machine Quilting for Beginners”: You too can machine quilt! That's right ladies, install your darning foot, drop those feed dogs and see what you and your sewing machine can do. We will cover the basics of starting and stopping stitch lines, gain confidence in stitch-in-the-ditch quilting with a walking foot, and an introduction to free motion quilting. A fun time to be had by all! This 2 part class will be held April 11th and 18th, 11 – 3. $45.00. Book required for class. Other materials will be provided.

Nancy Lee Chong – Known for her Hawaiian Quilting and 2 Fabric Appliqué is tentatively set for October. Plus more is in store to come. Please let us know which of her quilt types you would like to see taught!
